Hebraic Roots of Christianity in the Shadow of the Roman Empire:Judaism at the Time of Jesus
June 7-19, 2009

Purpose: While the trip will visit many biblical sites in Israel, it is much more than a sightseeing tour. As biblical archeologists and Bible scholars share their enthusiasm and knowledge, the story of Jesus will become a living narrative within the setting of the Roman Empire. We will also examine Judaism at the time of Jesus to explore the Hebraic roots of Christianity. After returning home we encourage you to create and publish a travel journal as well as a slide show or PowerPoint presentation. BibleInteract will provide easy tools on its website to facilitate these two projects.
