This university course lecture taught by Dr. Anne Davis, professor at Trinity Southwest University, has 16 class sessions. Each class session lasts approximately 45 minutes. The lecture CD is in audio format. There is a workbook that accompanies the lecture.

The Book of Hebrews has challenged theologians for centuries. The problem is caused in part by the large number of citations and references to the Hebrew Scriptures, wich lead to conclusions that are not well understood. The question we ask is this: "What method was the author of Hebrews using?" In this lecture Dr. Davis shares her research on ancient methods of midrash in which the people at the time of Jesus searched the Scriptures for deeper meaning behing the simple or plain meaning of the words.
