Course: Scenes of Israel from Exile to the Messiah

Dr. John Moore teaches our Bible Background Series. In this course you will learn the historical background of ancient Israel from exile in Babylon to the arrival of the Romans shortly before the time of Jesus. But this is no dry history textbook. Dr. Moore makes the biblical narrative come alive. Personalities become real, and events happen before your eyes.

The goal of the course is to make the biblical narrative living and real. So, when you read the “Old Testament,” you will be well grounded in the story and the background.

Homework exercises are designed to be fun as well as meaningful. You will test your knowledge by dragging and dropping locations on a map, mixing and matching possible answers, or selecting from a list.
