Quality Education through Interactive Bible Study
How we started: The original idea for this website came from the faculty of the College of Hebraic Studies in Christianity at Trinity Southwest University. They were experiencing the need for interactive distance learning.

Rapid growth: This initial concept has grown. The facilitator, Dr. Anne Davis, began talking to colleagues in other educational institutions, who were overflowing with creative ideas but only needed a forum.

What we are today: Today Bible Interact is a growing fellowship of professors and Bible scholars. Their weekly TV program, "BIbleIteract Presents," appears on God's Learning Channel. The adult Bible study material they are producing includes DVD teachings, mini-lectures, course lectures, workbooks, study guides, articles and books.

Lecture Circuit: BibleInteract scholars may be available to speak to your study group or congregation. Contact each speaker separately.

Tours and Expeditions: Our biblical archaeologists prefer to tape on-site, which has led to educational tours and Holyland expeditions.

BibleInteract Institute: We offer a variety of programs for continuing education that include independent study as well as scheduled programs and online discussions.

My particular research interest, which is methods of midrash that New Testament authors used to search the Hebrew Scriptures for deep levels of meaning, has led me to those with similar desires to learn more about the cultural environment of the ancient world. We all saw the importance of teaching ancient Hebraic perspectives and methods of searching the Scriptures. One thing led to another, and today we are growing in the number of Resident and Guest Lecturers who are participating in the development of multi-media Bible study material. Encouraging meaningful discussion through study guides and workbooks has become integral to our work. Those who wish to participate with us are growing in the number of BibleInteract members.

Who we are today (and the ancient methods of Bible study that we represent) has been a process of “growing,” sometimes with growing pains but always with an end that has been an excitement of discovery. We continue to explore the Word of God for its depth and richness. Perhaps our access to God and our knowledge of godly principles has been deepening also.

Mission Statement

BibleInteract opens and sets forth the Scriptures in a way that leads to dialogue in community and encourages personal investigation of Scripture (Acts 17:3, 11).

Methods of Bible Study: BibleInteract facilitates exploration of various Bible study methods to enable students and scholars to better access the wealth of Scriptural depth.

Materials: Research contributors are qualified and peer-reviewed. Their research leads to:

• Independent Bible study
• Small group discussions
• Pastoral and leadership aids
• Academic coursework
• Scholastic research and publication
• Holyland expeditions that enrich our understanding of the Bible

Degrees and Academics: Courses taught by BibleInteract Institute are accredited byTrinity Southwest University in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You may take courses for credit toward an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree. Or you may enjoy the course materials for your personal enrichment.

Statement of Belief

Bibleinteract is a trans-denominational consortium of Bible scholars and students who embrace and humbly submit to Scripture as the written, divinely inspired Word of God, and give it authority in all matters upon which it touches. Bibleinteract views creedal formulations and statements of faith, although valid for their stated purposes, nevertheless apart from the Bible itself.
